NYLT
June 10-15, 2023

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF NYLT?

The aims of NYLT are to give each participant a basic knowledge of various leadership skills while helping them relate these skills to their own troop/crew/ship responsibilities; to give them the confidence and knowledge necessary to run their troop/crew/ship program; to provide an opportunity to share ideas and experiences with Scouts from other troops/crews/ship; and of course, to have FUN.

The NYLT course centers around the concepts of what a leader must BE, what they must KNOW, and what they must DO. The key elements are then taught with a clear focus on HOW TO. The skills come alive during the week as the patrol goes on a Quest for the Meaning of Leadership.

NYLT is a six-day course. Content is delivered in a troop and patrol outdoor setting with an emphasis on immediate application of learning in a fun environment. Cost will be $300. A deposit of $100 will be due with registration.
